Thanks for your interest in being a 2013 Senior Scout for Eminence Photography! Here, you will find a list of FAQ's about my Scout Program, and will explain the exciting, money-saving Senior Scout program!

What is a SENIOR SCOUT?

Senior Scouts are H.S. students from local schools that are chosen to promote Eminence Photography. In turn, you will receive a FREE mini session, some complimentary products and a chance to earn some other awesome products & rewards! You MUST fill out the application to be a Senior Scout by January 31, 2012 to be eligible! Limited spots are available, so PLEASE get your application in ASAP!

Who am I looking for?

I am looking for SCOUTS who are excited about having their pictures taken, who are unique, funky and not afraid to be themselves! You MUST be outgoing, social, and professional about contacting classmates to promote me!

What do Senior Scouts do?

My team of SCOUTs will promote my photography business by spreading the word about services, and recruiting fellow classmates to book with me! (Eminence Photography). This can be done many ways: by word of mouth, facebook, twitter; showing your pictures to your classmates; distributing flyers, handing out your personalized Scout cards and any other creative ways you can think of (enlist your parents, too, and let them help you earn incentives, listed below)!

How many Senior REPs are there?

Each year, the number of Senior SCOUTs on my team are chosen at my discretion. This year I will be choosing 6 SCOUTs each from Columbus North HS, Columbus East HS & Columbus Signature Academy.

What's in it for ME?

1. An initial mini-session in late February or early March to get images for your personalized “SCOUT Cards” which you can start handing out to prospective clients.

2. Plenty of those SCOUT Cards and a few brochures for you to distribute to classmates and school bulletin boards to promote Eminence Photography.

3. 5 digital, logo-marked images sized for Facebook/MySpace, iPod, phone, etc. These are for you to use as profile images during the duration of your SCOUT duties. It will help in getting others to book their session with me, so please don’t crop the logo on these images ~ thanks!

4. Your own personal, online gallery with 40-50 of your best images from your full session with me.

5. Special REWARDS for your work!

When you recruit:

1 person - FREE set of wallets

2 people - FREE set of wallets, 8x10 & 30% OFF your selected senior package

3 people - FREE set of wallets, 8x10, 11x14, & 30% OFF your selected senior package

4 people - FREE set of wallets, 8x10, 11x14, a $50 VISA Gift Card, & 30% off your selected senior package

5 people - FREE set of wallets, 8x10, 11x14, a $50 VISA Gift Card, a 5x7 POSH album featuring your images, & 50% off your selected senior package.

- For each additional person recruited, you will receive a set of 8 wallets!

Any other Fine Print (terms& conditions)

• Your mini session will be in late February or early March of 2012. In order to participate with my Senior Rep Team you must be available to complete your mini session during that time.

• SCOUT Cards are for handing out to prospective clients interested in booking their Senior session with Eminence Photography, so they aren’t meant to hand out to someone who is already working with another Photographer. Save the cards for people really interested in booking with me– Thanks!

• As a SCOUT on my team you agree to only represent Eminence Photography during your grad year. You agree to post any free, logo-marked images that I give you from your session(s) on your Facebook/MySpace/Blog, etc. in order to help promote my services. This means that your images MUST remain your profile image for the duration of your SCOUT duties. In addition, as being a SCOUT on my team it is required to join my Fan Page on Facebook.

• You MUST schedule and complete your FULL Senior Portrait Session before October 31, 2012.

• Parents MUST be fully aware of your activity with this endeavor. They will be asked to sign requested forms for your participation (model release, portrait session agreement).

• As with filling out any job application, it is important that the Senior Scout Team Application be completed in full in order to be considered for the team. Things like spelling & grammar will be evaluated along with your content for the answers on your questionnaire.

• While promoting Eminence Photography you agree not to speak unfavorably of any other photographers or their work. People who you refer must not already be a studio Rep with another photographer. You agree to only represent Eminence Photography's work during your senior year. You agree to post any free, logo-marked images I give you from your session on Facebook and keep as profile image for duration of Scout duties.

• My Scout Program has many perks and advantages including a complimentary mini session along, 30% OFF your selected senior package if 2 people are referred and many other rewards. Because of this, each Scout on my team is expected to refer at least two seniors that complete a session with Eminence Photography by the end of March 2013. If a Scout is unable to fulfill this requirement they will need to pay the full amount of their session fee by June 1, 2013. It’s much more fun to get the free stuff, anyway!!

• You understand that I have the ultimate right to protect the image and integrity of my business and therefore may terminate your participation on my team at any point and without notice.

What are the next steps if I'm interested?

Interested students should review my most recent Senior work here on my blog! Just click on Catergories, Seniors. If you like what you’ve seen and want to be on my team of Senior SCOUTs, then fill out the 2013 SENIOR SCOUT Application, online. Once I’ve reviewed your application you will be contacted by me to review all the details and expectations associated with this endeavor. Individuals chosen will need to sign a simple contract along with their parent/legal guardian and schedule a time to do your initial photo session so you can get your SCOUT Cards and get to work!

This summer has been CRAZY so far!!! Sessions almost every single day, and with a broken computer, that has put me a bit behind!! BUT, now my computer is back up and running and I have been able to get some sneak peaks for all recent clients! I am leaving for Florida today for a week and sooooo ready for a little break, and so thankful that I will be able to take this week to spend with my family! I'm especially thankful that I have this small break to spend with my oldest daughter, Novah, she will be starting Kindergarten a couple of days after we return from vacation. : (

I hope you are all enjoying your summers, fall will be here before we know it!

I had a WONDERFUL time capturing this beautiful wedding of Mark & Alyssa. So much love they have for each other and it definitely shows throughout these photographs. Congrats you guys!!

This sweet family was a blast to hangout with! We even escaped some crazy wind and stormy clouds! WHEW!

And this family of 6 is now a family of 7! Welcome, Silas!!!!

Ben & Avery - a LONG overdue sneak peak!

First off, I want to thank Ben & Avery for being so incredibly patient with me through all of life's crazy twists and turns in my life! The saying, "when it rains, it pours" couldn't be more true in my life these past few weeks! It all started off with my 5D camera breaking at Ben & Avery's wedding! Thankfully I carry a backup, so I was able to work through that issue. Then when I got back from our Michigan vacation, my hard drive crashed on my iMac, both of my kids got sick at two separate times, my iMac ended up back in the shop for something the techs broke while giving me a new hard drive, and I have been on session overload! Other small things, like losing my keys in the woods at a session and having to reinstall EVERYTHING onto my new hard drive, but I won't mention those.....haha! BUT, I am alive, so THAT is what I have to be thankful for! : )

Ben & Avery were such a joy to work with, their entire bridal party, family, EVERYONE, was such a pleasure to spend the day with! I knew I was in the right place when Ben's mother came up to me when I was clearly stressed, and her unaware of any of it, touch me on my shoulder and said that she was praying for me. What a blessing! TOTALLY needed it that day for sure!!!!

So, here is a LONG overdue sneak peak from their sweet, sweet wedding! Many more sneak peaks to come, hopefully before I leave for Florida on Friday!!!

JR & Jenna - Wedding Bliss

A week ago Saturday I kicked off my wedding season to photograph JR & Jenna's BEAUTIFUL wedding! This couple is wonderful. They are not only gorgeous, but they are soooooo incredibly kind and sweet! Their wedding day was absolutely beautiful! Jenna has been a dream to work with. She's super into vintage stuff and was all about hitting up some local urban areas for her photos.

Jenna made a gorgeous bride and her dress was stunning! She made her own floral bouquet made out of wood and attached vintage brooches to it. The details of the wedding were amazing. Jenna works at Factory 12 Event Loft so she worked very hard on all of her reception details as well.

Lemonade Minis

I haven't blogged in forever and I truly apologize! I have been busy with all sorts of things around here!

I held my first set up mini sessions, although I didn't get it filled up like I was hoping, it was still a great time and I got the cutest images from the day! I was dying to do a Lemonade Stand, so I went out hunting for some neat little props to put it together. It turned out just like I imagined!!

The "M" Family

A couple weeks ago I met up with the "M" Family in my hometown, Madison. We had an absolutely beautiful day which beat the freezing rain and cold weather we had for our previous scheduled session date. This family was so much fun and so adorable! These kids were absolutely hysterical and we had a lot of fun hanging out, walking around downtown.

this past saturday i hosted my first Crafty Mamas Trunk Show along with my first set of mini sessions!! the day was a success, i had 9 awesome vendors that came and sold their handmade items, it was great!! the mommy & me sessions were wonderful! the wind was CRAZY that day, but it was a beautiful spring day! here is a quick peek from the mommy & me mini's! excited to do more of these sessions!!!

my day started off WONDERFUL with these two cuties!!! seriously, how cute is he?!

i knew this little munchkin when he was in his mamas belly! what a doll!!

a former starbucks coworker whom i haven't seen in forever with her BEAUTIFUL baby girl! look at those eyes, will ya?! melt.

and this little rockstar, i've known her since she was just a few weeks old......love watching these little ones grow up before my eyes! the second image has me sooooooo giddy inside, i love everything about it. probably one of my favorites from the day. <3

and these sweet little face i've known since she was just a couple weeks old!! LOVE these two images......they capture everything i love about motherhood.

this little guy keeps his mama on her toes!! he's an 18 month old on the go!! : ) LOVE the second image so much, such a short and sweet moment.

i met hayley, on the right, when i took her engagement pictures and her and her sister wanted to do something nice for their mom for mothers day. three beautiful women, 2 beautiful images.

these kids were a hoot! they braved the cold and chilly winds and were FULL of smiles and FUN!

thanks for such a great time, mamas!!! i hope i was able to capture some very special images of you and your kiddos to cherish forever. as a mother, i look at these images and they all melt my heart. i would absolutely love to have some images of myself and my girls like this.......if you're like me, you're the one always snapping the pictures and you're never actually in any of them. i hope that your kids will look back on these moments and that they will hold a special place in their hearts as well. thank you so much for allowing me to capture these memories for you.

some previous clients of mine, whom i have worked with over the past 2 years, contacted me and wanted me to take pictures of their newest addition! i just love newborns, but sometimes i wonder if they like me! HA! they have a love/hate relationship with me. i definitely have that motherly touch and sway when holding a baby, and am pretty good at getting them to sleep, but once i'm there in front of them with a camera......they want nothing to do with me!! : D i've said this a thousand times and i'll probably say it a thousand times more......newborns are definitely a challenge! i give mad props to those who only specialize in this field.

with that said, miss kate, was my typical baby. she would sleep some and be awake some.....but for the most part, she was a very good baby to work with. her parents and older brother are so wonderful, they are such great people to work with! here is a sweet sneak peek from our session.

Andy & Kayla = engaged!

Andy & Kayla are one of the sweetest couples I've worked with! He's a firefighter and she's studying to become a kindergarten teacher. They have dated for many years and Andy finally popped the BIG question a month ago.......so Kayla is busy planning their rustic wedding!!

Kayla is from my hometown, Madison, and Andy is from Deputy {a small town outside of Madison}, but are both living in Jeffersonville.......so we thought it would be appropriate to meet in downtown Madison for our shoot. The day was beautiful {sunny with a bit of wind}, but we were thankful for the sun since our last session was canceled due to 30 degree weather and rain!

I have photographed this family a numerous amount of times and I was thrilled to be able to photograph their sweet new addition, Coleman. Newborn sessions are always a challenge for me! For some reason the babies just will not sleep for me! Although I did manage to get some sleeping pictures of baby "C", he was awake 98% of the time! haha. I did manage to get some pretty sweet pictures of him, even though he's in the same position a majority of the time. : )

i love babies! they are so much fun to photograph. full of curiosity and all with their own individual little personalities. i met up with Mr. "M", and poor little guy wasn't feeling all too well! he had just gotten over being sick and was cutting teeth! we did our in trying to get some little smiles out of him, and we managed to get a few! he was such a trooper though and we were able to get some cute little shots of him.

i had this sweet little idea to add some color in and i was really loving the warmer weather and am DYING for spring......but Little "M" wasn't too happy about that! haha.

What is a senior REP?

Senior REPs are H.S. students from local schools that are chosen to promote Eminence Photography. In turn, you will receive a FREE mini session and HALF off your SENIOR package! You'll receive a few complimentary products and the ability to earn some neat products! You MUST call or fill out the application to be a Senior REP by April 30, 2011 to be eligible! What type of person am I looking for to REPRESENT me?

I am looking for REPs who are excited about having their pictures taken, and who are unique, funky and not afraid to be themselves! I also need you to be outgoing, social, and professional about contacting classmates to promote me!

2. Plenty of those Rep Cards and a few flyers for you to distribute to classmates and school bulletin boards to promote Eminence Photography.

3. Half off your full, 1-2 hour Senior Portrait Session with Eminence Photography in the summer or fall. (already a $300 savings)!

4. 5 digital, logo-marked images sized for Facebook/MySpace, iPod, phone, etc. These are for you to use to help get others to book their session with me, so please don’t crop the logo on these images ~ thanks!

5. Earn $10 in Rep cash every time someone you referred completes their session with me.

6. Your own personal, online gallery with 40-50 of your best images from your full session with me.

What is "REP Cash?"

For each Senior you refer that leads to their completed session, you will receive $10 in “Rep Cash Credit” which will be credited to your account with Eminence Photography's Online Ordering System. “Rep Cash” credit may be redeemed for products. You can use “Rep Cash” as soon as you earn it (like to get more wallets or whatever you want) or you may choose to save up your “Rep Cash” and use it towards other prints, albums, frames, etc.! The more Seniors who complete a session using your name as the reference = more “Rep Cash” it’s easy! (The person you sent who completed a session with me will also get their choice of a complimentary set of 16 wallets OR one complimentary digital photo sized for Facebook/iPod, phone, etc.) You can accumulate “Rep Cash” through the end of March 2012.

Make sure the people you talk to know this ahead of time so you will get the credit (the person you refer to me will also receive product as outlined above, under the Rep Cash Q&A section). This is a good reason to get signed up for my team soon so you can get to your friends before someone else does! “Rep Cash” may not be redeemed monetarily, but is applied to your account and may be used towards products with Eminence Photography and any unused “Rep Cash” will expire on July 1st, 2012. You may not give a gift of your earned “Rep Cash” to transfer to one customer to use towards their purchase.

i haven't seen baby j since i did her newborn pictures.....my has she grown! i tell all of my previous clients how i just LOVE watching their little ones grow! it's so neat to see them and how their personalities change over that period of time. i am so blessed to have such an amazing job and so blessed to meet so many wonderful people!

j's momma is a cloth diapering type of momma, so she brought a nice little stash with her that we were able to use for the session! love all the prints cloths have to offer!! j was such a joy! : ) she lasted a lot longer than what i had anticipated, and we got some sweet little shots of her. take a peek for yourself!

started off our session with some sweet little Valentine's Day ideas I had. thinking of offering mini sessions next year for V-day!

i met up with an adorable couple the other evening for an e-session! i love when i have clients willing to BRAVE the cold temps for an awesome session!! i am sooooo excited to be shooting J.R & Jenna's wedding this May! they are such a beautiful couple, extremely photogenic, just down to earth awesome people.....so of course with all of those things working with me and the awesome winter day, you know i was going to have amazing results! i definitely think this has to be one of my favorite e-sessions to date.

I kicked off the new year with such a great session! I met up with The "M" Family last week for a fun time!! Mr. Meade, I mean, Fireman Sam just turned 4! He is obsessed with firetrucks, hence his name, and even had a firetruck themed birthday!! He was cracking me up so much during our session! He really is quite a comedian!! Not only did I get to hangout with "Fireman Sam", but I got to hangout with his older sister, Morgan. WOW! is all I have to say! What a gorgeous young lady!! My first time to shoot a red head, and it has completely spoiled me. : ) She has the bluest eyes, so that combo right there is a photographers dream. On with a sneak peak! Hope you all are having a good start to a new year, I know I am!!

new look for a new year!

as you can see I have a brand new blog!!! i am in LOVE with it and i hope you love it just as much as i do and find it much more useful than my previous blog!!

i have been very busy trying to wrap up my editing for the year! we are leaving for Virginia this weekend and i am wanting to finish up everything that i can before i leave so i can enjoy my time with my family! the girls have been sick this week so that has made it a little more stressful around here!! but they both seem to be on the up and up, just in time for our 11 hour trip!

Miss Aliyah's going to be a big sister!

You may recognize this family! I have done quite a bit of work for them and hope to continue to as well!! Joe and Emily are expecting their second child in February and Aliyah is a little over 18m, so it was a great time to have a session! Unfortunately, Aliyah wasn't feeling our session too much. : ( BUT, we did have some fun and I was able to capture a few sweet pictures of her. She is seriously the sweetest little gal and I think we became friends.....which is always a bonus! : D

I can't wait to go back in February to take some pictures of the new baby!!! Hopefully Aliyah will be a little more interested then, which I'm thinking she will be crazy about this new little one!!

Kurt & Rebecca got married in the beautiful Jamaica, so they decided to have a very intimate ceremony with their closest family members back here in the states. They filled the ceremony with a unique sand pouring where they incorporated all of their family members in the process, exchanging of vows and an intimate time of prayer. After the ceremony, I had a few minutes to spend with Kurt and Rebecca for some shots together, then it was off to their beautiful reception held at the Factory 12 Event Loft!

The loft looked amazing! Eclectic Events and Design does an amazing job with weddings!

Kurt and Rebecca's Indiana wedding was beautiful and I hope that I was able to capture it in a way that they will remember.

I have been waiting forever to do this session with Paige! For one, she's gorgeous, for two, she's the sweetest young lady that you'll ever meet, for three, she is super passionate about stopping human trafficking (as am i), for four, she is a photographer (very talented at that), for five......she's just an awesome person! : )

This was such a fun session, probably one of my favorites by far. Completely laid back and fun. I met Paige through Facebook, I believe, I saw her photography and instantly wanted to be her online buddy. : ) We then discovered that we both have an interest in ending Human Trafficking, which later led to me being Paige's mentor or go to person for her Senior Project......where she will be showing a documentary film about the subject at The YES Cinema here in town. It's amazing to see young people with so much passion in helping other people who are enslaved, and actually doing something about it!

A fun session with The "V" Family!

I had such a fun session with this awesome family! These kids are so full of spunk and energy, but are the most well behaved kids ever! So polite and were the best little models for me! : ) Ryan (the dad) and I are both from Madison and his sister had purchased a Christmas gift card for them to spend at Eminence Photography! So, they took full advantage of that for our session and we had a blast hanging out......even though a storm was blowing in and it was cold and windy! Mom and Dad came prepared with some balloons to add in to the fun we were having! I'll just let the pictures speak for themselves.

The "R" Family at Goley's Apple Orchard

I met up with the "R" Family in my hometown, Madison. I went to high school with Christi and had the pleasure in photographing her sweet little family last year around this time! Carl and Christi's 2 little ones are so incredibly sweet and adorable! We had a lot of fun hanging out in the apple orchard and even grabbing some leftover apples for a session snack! : D

The adorable "T" Family!

Last year I hosted a Matilda Jane Clothing trunk show at my old studio on 17th street. I LOVE Matilda Jane and you can never go wrong with dressing your little ones in it for a photo session!! Anyways, I gave away a FREE session at the trunk show and Amanda was the lucky winner! At that time her youngest was only a couple months old and now Miss Miriam just turned 1! Miriam along with her older sisters and older brother are seriously the cutest kids, so I had no problem in photographing them! Miriam is a photographers dream for a baby session. : ) She has tons of rolls, all from breastfeeding I must add! : D And she has the most beautiful blue eyes too!! I had a great time with this family, they are seriously adorable.

Has this been a busy season of weddings or what?! It has been like back to back weddings for me and things are finally coming to an end with my last wedding next weekend! I'm actually looking forward to taking a little break and spending some quality time with my family!! : D

A couple of weeks ago I headed to Carmel to shoot Adam & Emily's beautiful and very unique wedding! They added so many neat touches to their wedding to make it extremely unique and personal. Emily had a lot of little vintage touches that I loved, from her jewelry to her garter which she found on etsy......and I adore etsy!

This couple was so much fun and they are so in love! So thankful I was able to share in such a special day for them!!

Brett & Rebecca - a sweet couple, a sweet wedding

Where do I start with this post? I met Miss Rebecca March 21, 2010 when I had a wedding consultation with her and her mother. Little did I know that Rebecca and I would become amazing friends out of that consultation. I have been ever so grateful for her friendship, especially when it came at a very hard place in my life. Rebecca is seriously the sweetest soul you will ever meet. She would do absolutely anything for anyone and I admire her so much for being who she is. My husband, kids and I have had the pleasure to becoming friends with not only Rebecca, but Brett. Brett is such an awesome guy, a hard worker, an awesome dad, a guy full of love for Rebecca. They are seriously such an awesome couple, and I am so thankful to have both of them in my life.

So needless to say, this wedding was completely a new experience for me.....a lot more emotional than any wedding I've ever done. I got to meet some amazing people during the weekend of Rebecca's wedding, all of whom I can call friends of mine. : )
Rebecca and Brett are surrounded by so many lovely people (family & friends) that would do anything for them, and I know that they would return the favor. Okay, enough rambling....I'll get on with the pictures!

Isaac - 18 months!

Isaac's mom won a FREE session in my giveaway awhile back and she already knew that she wanted to do Isaac's 18 month pictures with me. So, a couple of weeks ago we met up at the new studio and had some fun! Isaac is everything you would expect an 18 month old boy to be like! He's energetic, funny, energetic, cute and did I mention energetic?! haha. It's always such a challenge for me with any child that is between the ages of 1-2, I always come prepared with my running shoes! : D
I definitely have my work cut out for me, but that's part of it!

Lincoln turns ONE!

This little guy was my first session in my brand new studio! YAY!

I have been patiently waiting to photograph this little cutie. : )

Lincoln's parents go to The Living Room with me and my family and when they found out they were expecting, I had to gift them with a free session. Sooooo........a year later, here we are! : D

I just love photographing children, one of my favorite subjects for sure. They are all so different and offer so many different personalities and looks for the camera. Poor Lincoln was in a daze for most of our session, because when he arrived he was all sacked out! haha. It doesn't matter though, because he's sooooo adorable that any face he made at me was priceless.
